The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate freedom, family, and the values that make our communities strong. As neighbors gather for backyard barbecues, fireworks, and holiday traditions, it’s also the perfect opportunity to remember the importance of supporting the local farms and small businesses that help keep New Jersey thriving.
At Spring Valley Turkey Farm, we’re proud to be a veteran-owned farm in Old Bridge, New Jersey, serving families throughout Middlesex, Monmouth, and surrounding counties for generations. While many people know us for our fresh Thanksgiving turkeys, our mission goes beyond the holiday season. We believe in quality, community, and preserving New Jersey’s agricultural heritage every day of the year.

Every dollar spent at a local farm stays closer to home, helping support local jobs, strengthen the economy, and preserve valuable farmland for future generations.
Choosing local means you’re helping:
Keep family-owned farms in business.
Preserve New Jersey farmland and open space.
Support hardworking local families.
Reduce the distance food travels from farm to table.
Invest in your own community.
Programs like Jersey Fresh, operated by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, encourage residents to support local growers and farmers throughout the year.

We’re grateful for every veteran, active-duty service member, first responder, and military family whose sacrifices have protected the freedoms we celebrate each Fourth of July.

New Jersey may be known as the Garden State, but preserving local agriculture has never been more important.
Family farms help provide fresh food, protect open space, and preserve a way of life that has existed for generations. As development continues throughout the state, supporting local farms helps ensure future generations can continue to enjoy fresh, locally grown food.

Although turkey is often associated with Thanksgiving, it’s a versatile, lean protein that can be enjoyed year-round.
Whether you’re grilling turkey burgers, smoking a turkey breast, or preparing healthy family meals, turkey provides an excellent source of protein while remaining naturally lower in saturated fat than many other meats.
